Week 6 Guillotine Leagues™️ ADP Risers & Fallers: Wait For Jameis Winston
Jorge Martin chopped it up on players who are rising and falling in Guillotine Leagues ADP in Week 6.
It’s on to Week 6! If you got chopped in another league and want to start anew, one of the beauties of Guillotine LeaguesTM is that every week can be a new beginning. That’s because drafts are happening all season. So instead of needing 18 teams for a full-season Guillotine League, now you need just 13 teams to be playing for all the marbles in Week 17. So now is good time to start up another draft to keep the adrenaline pumping.
To help you out with your drafting, here are the risers and fallers in Guillotine League fantasy football ADP in the last week. And to help you with your research, check out our fantasy football rankings and fantasy football projections. We also provide Utilization Data to measure usage and often reference our DvP Tool for insight into this week’s matchup.
Week 6 Players Rising in Guillotine Leagues ADP
Jameis Winston | QB | Giants | +33
ADP: 160.9
Did you expect anyone else but Jameis? After throwing for 326-3—his second game in a row with 3 TDs—Winston could be an option for fantasy managers waiting at the QB position. The Giants face the Saints, who have given up at least 223 passing yards in the past three games, with 5 combined TDs in that span.
Braelon Allen | RB | Jets | +18.5
ADP: 70.4
Dwain McFarland pointed out that in the past two games Allen has logged a snap share of 89% with 88% of the rush attempts. With 38 carries for 175 yards and a TD, Allen has made the most of that elite usage with Breece Hall sitting out. Hall could be on the sidelines again, so Allen could pay off early until he’s replaced by a higher-end model on the waiver wire. The Patriots are No. 16 in fantasy points allowed to RBs, so not a defense to be scared of this week.
Keon Coleman | WR | Bills | +23.4
ADP: 140.7
With DJ Moore missing most or all of the last two games, Coleman has run routes at 78% and 83% rates, respectively. Last week, he was targeted just twice, but did catch a TD pass on a low-volume night (19 pass attempts). With Moore trending toward missing another game, Coleman could get you over for at least this week in a matchup against the Raiders, who are giving up the ninth–most receiving yards to WRs. With a game total of 53.5, there should be some passing in this game on both sides.
Tyler Higbee | TE | Rams | +14.7
ADP: 173.4
If you’re waiting at TE in hopes of filling other positions and then scooping up an upgrade on the waiver wire in the future, Higbee is a good late-round option. Injuries have hit the TE room for the Rams, and Higbee has been pushed to the front of the class at the position. He turned 6 targets into 5-83-0 against Buffalo. This week the Rams host the Cardinals, who are fifth in biggest receiving yards boost to TEs at 19.3. Sam LaPorta just lit them up for 5-88-1 last week.
Week 6 Players Falling in Guillotine Leagues ADP
Tyler Shough | QB | Saints | -7
ADP: 82.1
It was not pretty last week for Shough, as he failed to reach even 100 passing yards and threw a pair of picks. No need to hang the head, because Brian Flores and the Vikings have done that to a lot of QBs. Shough could help you for a couple weeks before his bye in Week 8. As noted in the Jameis blurb above, this week could be fun as the Saints travel to play the Giants, who gave up a big day on the ground to Jayden Daniels (103-2). Shough is no Daniels, but he can scoot. So no need to have him fall too far.
Kenneth Gainwell | RB | Buccaneers | -19.7
ADP: 141.7
Remember when there was some talk in the summer about Gainwell stealing touches from Bucky Irving? That does feel like a long time ago. Three straight weeks with rush-attempt shares in the teens will do that to a guy’s draftability. If you’re picking him it’s just for depth and to drop him sooner rather than later.
Brian Thomas | WR | Jaguars | -21.9
ADP: 158.5
Hand up, I believed in BTJ before the season and even had to emergency start him in Week 4 when he scored his only TD of the season. Yay! Not yay is that he has just one game with more than 3 targets and now faces the Texans, who have been beaten up by elite QBs early, but are rounding into form defensively. You’re probably just drafting him for depth, and he could be dropped for better options as you move along.
Dalton Kincaid | TE | Bills |-15.2
ADP: 65.4
It has been rough, with Kincaid drawing just 7 targets combined in the past three games. Oh, how we had higher hopes for a breakthrough after two solid games to start the season. But if you’re drafting now, we’re looking ahead, and this week Kincaid could move up the target tree with DJM possibly sitting again. Plus, the Raiders are fourth in fantasy points boost at +5.
