Week 6 Most-Chopped Players for Guillotine Leagues
CeeDee Lamb | WR | Cowboys
Cowboy fans can take a sigh of relief, CeeDee Lamb avoided suffering a long-term injury, making him worth a hefty investment. Even with George Pickens in the fold, Lamb has been able to rival the top of the position as the WR3 in half-PPR leagues while averaging over 10 targets per game.
Tee Higgins | WR | Bengals
In a favorable matchup against Miami, Tee Higgins was unable to take advantage of the Dolphins secondary while potentially being bogged down by an injury. With his status in question, try to buy low on the Bengals WR2, but do not go too aggressive.
Carnell Tate | WR | Titans
Like Higgins, Carnell Tate has also been hampered by an injury, leading to an abysmal performance against the Houston Texans. Not only are back issues tricky, Tate has grossly underperformed, making him worth just a small bid with hopes of the Titans rookie being able to turn it around.
David Montgomery | RB | Texans
After rushing for 2 touchdowns in the Texans season opener, David Montgomery has been unable to build on his momentum, dropping down to RB28 in half-PPR. A groin injury will also potentially sideline him for a few weeks, making Montgomery a risky investment.
Tyler Shough | QB | Saints
Even though Tyler Shough ranks 22nd in EPA per play, his dual-threat ability has made him viable in fantasy, leaping up to 13th at the position. If you are in need of a QB, Shough’s upside is worth an aggressive bid, especially with the Saints possessing one of the easiest remaining strength of schedules.
Kenneth Walker | RB | Chiefs
Fresh off a bye, Kenneth Walker joins Lamb as one of the most valuable players in this week’s edition of most-chopped players, giving you a sure-fire RB1 who has been the focal point of the Kansas City Chiefs offense. Bid aggressively, but remember, do not put all your eggs in one basket, making it vital you save some of your FAAB for the long run.
Dak Prescott | QB | Cowboys
Performance against the Bucs aside, Dak Prescott has still been efficient this season, entering Week 6 ranked in the top-10 in QB EPA per play, CPOE and in success rate. With Lamb on the field, the Cowboys pass attack will still be explosive, keeping Prescott viable as a QB to lean on for the remainder of the year.
Harold Fannin | TE | Browns
The situation may not be ideal, but that has not stopped Harold Fannin from being able to rival the top 10 at the position in half-PPR. It is worth noting his targets have steadily declined the past few weeks, handicapping his ceiling.
Jonathan Taylor | RB | Colts
Like Walker, Jonathan Taylor has been the engine that drives the Indianapolis Colts offense, leaping up to sixth at the position while the offense leads the league in rush EPA per play. With no signs of slowing down, aggressively bid for Taylor.
Jeremiyah Love | RB | Cardinals
Until Jeremiyah Love is given the keys to the offense, his current usage rate will make it tough for the Arizona Cardinals rookie to stuff the stat sheet. A daunting schedule also does him no favors, making Love worth a tiny investment with hopes of the Cardinals giving him a heavier workload.
