NFL Player Props For Week 2: Garrett Wilson Primed For Takeoff

Last week gave us fireworks around the NFL, and Thursday Night Football kept the trend going this week. Will it continue on Sunday? That remains to be seen, but let's highlight some NFL player props for Week 2 that could provide your pockets with some fireworks.

Three Player Props For NFL Week 2

Garrett Wilson Over 62.5 Receiving Yards (-112, DraftKings)

Justin Carlucci: Wilson looked like the Jets’ clear alpha receiver in Week 1.

He posted a 29% target share and an absurd 49% air-yards share. New York did not even need to throw much against Tennessee, yet Wilson still ran the most routes on the team and dominated the passing-game opportunity.

Those are real WR1 numbers.

It’s only one game, obviously. We do not need to overreact to every Week 1 target share. But Wilson is healthy, he looked like he had some juice, and Smith clearly knows where his top receiver is.

The Packers have not shown me much defensively, and this game projects to be more competitive than New York’s opener. That should mean more passing volume for Smith and more chances for Wilson.

Mark Andrews Anytime Touchdown (+125, DraftKings)

Justin Carlucci: Sportsbooks have been cautious with Ravens receiving props as Zay Flowers’ status remains uncertain. But once the anytime-touchdown numbers arrive, Mark Andrews will be one of my favorite options.

Andrews did not score in Week 1, but his usage was extremely encouraging. He played on more than 80% of Baltimore’s passing snaps and was on the field for all four snaps inside the five-yard line. The only other Raven who matched that 100% inside-the-five rate was Derrick Henry.

Andrews also played six of Baltimore’s eight snaps inside the 10-yard line.

That is exactly what we want. Henry and Jackson will always command respect near the goal line, but Andrews is the proven receiving mismatch in the red zone. With Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar no longer competing for tight end opportunities, Andrews has an even cleaner path to high-value targets.

When we get plus money on Andrews to score, I’m grabbing it.

Drake London Under 4.5 Receptions (-108; DraftKings)

Matt LaMarca: I am all the way out on the Falcons’ passing attack for as long as Michael Penix is sidelined. 90 of Cooper Rush’s 143 passing yards in Week 1 went to Bijan Robinson. That is absolutely pitiful. He was merely 4-12 when throwing to someone other than Robinson last week, and I don’t expect things to be massively improved vs. the Panthers.

London is someone who is one of the top receivers in fantasy when playing with Penix, but he had just five targets and two grabs last week. Getting to five catches might not feel like a particularly high bar to clear, but Rush is going to have to play significantly better for that to happen.
