Week 3 Wide Receiver Streamers For Fantasy Football: Jordan Addison Gets An Upgrade

We’re on to Week 3, and we have just enough data to be dangerous. Of course, making sense of the Bears going from 59 to a field goal a week later, um, let’s not even try. Though Mother Nature did remind us to check on the weather reports before setting lineups.

Let’s get into some streamers. As always with wide receivers, we’ll mine the fantasy football rankings for players outside the top 36. Make sure to check out our fantasy football projections to get further confirmation why these players are targets.

WR Streamers for Fantasy Football in Week 3

Jordan Addison | Vikings at Buccaneers

The same reason that Kyler Murray appeared in the QB version of this article is the reason why Jordan Addison is here. With the expected QB1 back in the fold, Addison has the opening to be the No. 2 target in the Kevin O’Connell offense.

Addison has drawn just 7 targets in two games, which is low even with an alpha WR like Justin Jefferson hogging the targets. The Buccaneers are on tap, and last year they allowed 31.4 fantasy points to WRs, 14th in the league. Denzel Boston just tallied 5-95-1 against them.

Keon Coleman | Bills vs. Chargers

Hear me out on this one. People may want to bury Keon Coleman for what he’s done (or not done) in his first two years in the league. If DJ Moore has to sit because of a shoulder injury he suffered in the Bills’ 41-31 victory, there are stranger things to consider than starting Coleman.

Khalil Shakir may look like the steady play, but Coleman is the 6-foot-3 WR who Josh Allen targeted 6 times against Detroit. Coleman caught all of his targets for 63 yards. The Chargers just gave up 5-119-1 to Tre Tucker. With injuries already piling up around the league, Coleman is practically free (2% rostered in Yahoo leagues) and could be an emergency flex replacement.

Tre Harris | Chargers at Bills

With Ladd McConkey playing through a cracked rib, there will be no one player taking an alpha role for the Chargers. Quentin Johnston led the team with 5 targets, though Tre Harris caught his only ball for 53 yards.

The Bills have been a juggernaut on offense, scoring 77 points in two games. They’ve also allowed 62 points. The Chargers will be in catchup mode, and Justin Herbert has gone toe-to-toe with plenty of elite QBs in his career. Someone will have to catch the ball, and Harris did run 71% of routes. Garbage-time points are a possibility with Harris.
