Week 9 Running Back Streamers For Fantasy Football: Rachaad White & More

Jorge Martin unveiled the running back streamers for fantasy football in Week 9.

Welcome to Week 9, and it’s starting to get serious in those fantasy streets. Teams are really starting to separate themselves. And if you’re looking to make a charge for the playoffs, we’ll ride shotgun with you. We also get a bit of a break on the teams on bye, but we’re still going to miss Jaylen Warren and the resurgent Tony Pollard. But we can always use a temporary upgrade for a week.

Let’s get into some streamers. As always with running backs, we’ll mine the fantasy football rankings for players outside the top 24. Make sure to check out our fantasy football projections to get further confirmation why these players are targets. Lastly, all stats versus each position group listed below are from our wonderful DvP tool and any utilization data came from our UR Score.

Running Back Streamers for Week 9

Blake Corum | Rams at Commanders

Corum has looked great the past two weeks, registering 166 yards and 2 TDs on 28 carries. Not bad for a 1B running back. He’s registered double-digit carries in each of those games, and has a UR score of 48. He’s not running many routes (14%), but he is getting 47% of the rush attempts. The Commanders are allowing a respectable 18 FPG to RBs and 75.7 rushing yards. Jonathan Taylor running for 95 yards is as close as any RB has gotten to the century mark. With the Rams’ o-line moving people well, this could be a hard-fought afternoon for Corum and Williams that’s still productive.

Emmett Johnson | Chiefs vs. Jets

Remember the role that Jerick McKinnon filled for the Chiefs in 2022? McKinnon scored 8 TDs from Weeks 12-17 and went nuts during the fantasy playoffs, earning a place in so many fantasy managers’ hearts for bringing them titles. It looks like Johnson is evolving into that role, as he has 11 targets against 4 carries in the past three games. Sunday he posted 5-128-1, highlighted by a 73-yard catch and run. The Jets just gave up 64 receiving yards to Ashton Jeanty, so they are vulnerable.

Rachaad White | Commanders vs. Rams

This is another volume play, as White was the clear leader of the backfield with 11 carries for 55 yards and a score. White got all the inside-the-5 rush attempts the past two games, and also has a 23% TPRR. The Rams are tough against running backs—No. 7 at 17.2 FPG allowed—but sometimes if you’re desperate you just look at the volume and hope the player scores.
