Time To Sell High On Kyle Monangai In Fantasy Football?
In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by Tenex.AI.
I spent the morning digesting all of the great info on FantasyLife.com.
Here are three moves to make before Week 5 kicks off tonight with Cowboys/Bucs …
🤑 Sell High: Kyle Monangai
Wait, I’m supposed to sell a dude who just put up 28 points on 30 carries? Yes, yes you are. Monangai enjoyed a hot-hand takeover vs. the Jets after D’Andre Swift fumbled, but his Utilization Score tells a different story, according to Dwain McFarland:
“His Utilization Score (55) historical comparisons have averaged 10.7 PPG, well below his 14.8 for the season. Only 18% secured an RB2 finish. If one of your leaguemates thinks that Monangai has arrived, I would SELL HIGH in a heartbeat at an RB2 price tag. Sure, if Swift goes down, you will regret it. But in healthy runouts, that is a profit most of the time.”
💥 Load up on Lions/Cardinals
We highlighted the matchup for Jacoby Brissett in yesterday’s newsletter, but it’s worth emphasizing this Detroit and Arizona tilt as a “fire the cannons” spot.
Only Bills/Rams on MNF (55.5) has a higher total than this game, which currently is projected for 54.5 points. The Lions are implied to score 29.5 points, while the Cardinals are sitting solidly at 25.
Everyone knows to start Jahmyr Gibbs and Trey McBride, but Matthew Freedman is giving huge boosts to both Jameson Williams and Michael Wilson as well.
Re: Jamo: “The Cardinals are No. 31 in defensive dropback EPA (0.346) and without No. 1 CB Will Johnson (neck, IR) and maybe FS Andrew Wingard (knee).”
Re: Wilson: “He has a pristine matchup at home indoors against the Lions, who are on their third away game in four weeks … Additionally, they're without SS Brian Branch (Achilles, PUP), FS Kerby Joseph (knee, PUP), No. 3 S Avonte Maddox (foot, IR) and No. 4 S Thomas Harper (ankle, IR).”
🌊 A Defense & TE To Stream (ty Bengals)
The Bengals get the Dolphins this week, which presents us with two streaming options:
TE Mike Gesicki: “In three games this year, Gesicki has had 10+ fantasy points … Both WRs Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (groin) suffered injuries last week, and if they're out this week then Gesicki could be the top pass catcher against the Dolphins, who could be without FS Dante Trader (knee).”
DEF Bengals: “The Cincinnati defense continues to play solid football, recording 14 sacks through their first four games this season. They are in the top half of the league by most efficiency metrics and are respectable against both the run and the pass. The Bengals get to face the Miami Dolphins, who have failed to score more than 13 points in any of their games so far this season.”

The Tenex Utilization Report, protected by TENEX, the official cybersecurity partner of Fantasy Life
Listen, you gotta have a partner like TENEX. If you’re a big company, you’re drowning in security alerts. Like 4,000 a day. It’s too much!
And you can’t hire your way out of it, because there’s not enough people to do the job.
So TENEX tackles it by putting AI on watching the alerts and then the real people solve the problems it finds.
And you don’t have to uproot your entire ecosystem. That’s one of the great things about it. It just runs inside your existing tech stack.
And in the end, I love this … you can actually see what the AI did, the decisions it made, everything. Like, visually.
We love these guys.
We protect you from getting beat in Fantasy … and TENEX protects us from outside attacks.
Best offensive line in the game.

After an offseason when the fantasy industry was convinced that Blake Corum had closed the gap, Kyren Williams widened it and is one of the top RBs in fantasy football.
