Your eyes do not deceive you …

Not only are Matthew Berry’s half-PPR fantasy football rankings and written content now live on FantasyLife.com, but they are completely free.

Let’s welcome him the only way we know how to around here … by looking at the guys he’s higher and lower on than consensus (ADP):

Buying:

  • Jordan Addison (81 vs 110.9 ADP) — It might be hard to know when to start Addison in managed leagues, but the ceiling is undeniably high.
  • Parker Washington (67 vs 87.5) — Washington is the skeleton key to the 2026 fantasy season, and we now know where Matthew is placing his bets.
  • Jordyn Tyson (63 vs 79.1) — He’s been high on Tyson since the draft, and there’s no reason to be scared now.
  • Terry McLaurin (43 vs 55.4) — As if a massive Commanders fan wouldn’t be all in on Terry this year with virtually no competition for targets and a healthy Jayden Daniels.
  • Kyler Murray (99 vs 122.8) and Tyler Shough (114 vs 133.8) at QB — If you love Addison and Tyson, it’s hard not to buy their QBs.

Fading:

  • Fernando Mendoza (213 vs 178 ADP) — We have no clue when he’s going to start. How many zeroes are you willing to eat?
  • Braelon Allen (219 vs 178) — There is nothing that suggests he’s the clear RB2 in NYJ. It could very well be Isaiah Davis.
  • Travis Hunter (181 vs 155.3) — Oh no … today I learned that my boss doesn’t like one of my favorite sleepers in 2026. I concede Hunter is a much better best ball pick than in managed.
  • Zach Charbonnet (160 vs 136.4) — Similar to Mendoza, how long are you willing to wait on Charbs? He feels like a quintessential roster clogger.

Matthew Berry’s Draft Day Manifesto on Fantasy Life!

Look, you can’t control injuries. You can’t control touchdowns getting vultured. You can’t control your commissioner deciding that Tuesday at 6:17 PM is the perfect time to announce, “Hey guys … I think we should switch to two tight ends this year.”

You can’t control the fantasy gods deciding that your opponent’s defense should score four touchdowns in Week 15, because apparently you’ve done something terrible in a previous life.

What you can control …

… is showing up more prepared than everyone else.

And that’s what we are here to do. Both with this article and everything else we do at FantasyLife.com—make sure you are more prepared for everything that will undoubtedly come your way during the wackiness of the season we are about to start and, specifically for this article, on Draft Day.

For the regulars, you’ll find plenty that’s familiar: my thoughts on roster construction, draft strategy, positional value, finding league winners, avoiding landmines, and generally trying to outsmart your friends without becoming the person everyone secretly hopes finishes last.

But there are plenty of new wrinkles this year as well. Updated research and data. New ways to approach roster building. And at least one new joke (note: that wasn’t it). And, of course, a shameless plug.

Which is usually for whatever company is paying me.

This year …

… it’s for the company I own … ⬇️
