Fantasy Football Outlook For Jacksonville Jaguars WRs: Brian Thomas, Parker Washington And More

Ian Hartitz examines the Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver room, focusing on if there could be a leader in the group.

Who is the answer in the Jacksonville Jaguars' WR room. Brian Thomas Jr.? Parker Washington? Jakobi Meyers? Is the answer just draft Trevor Lawrence? This is one of the most confusing group of wide receivers in fantasy football, and the weeks ahead will hopefully give us some answers before we're on the clock. Ian Hartitz breaks it down as part of his Jacksonville Jaguars Team Preview.

Who is the best pick at cost in this crowded WR room?

Let's meet the candidates in order of early ADP…

Brian Thomas Jr. (WR31 ADP): BTJ's 1,282 receiving yards in 2024 were the eighth most by a rookie … ever. Sadly, the 2025 encore (48-707-2) was marred by drops (8, tied for 3rd most) and rough chemistry with his QB (53% catch rate ranked 70th among 78 qualified receivers). The talent is still clearly there—Thomas was the only wide receiver to reach 22 MPH as a ballcarrier last season per Next-Gen Statsbut we saw the 2024 NFL Draft's 23rd overall pick used far more as an overqualified field-stretcher in 2025 (14.5 average target depth) compared to his rookie season (11.6). Here's to hoping improved health and rave reviews coming out of OTAs lead to a bounce back campaign in 2026.

Parker Washington (WR34 ADP): Our most applicable final five-game stretch with BTJ, Meyers and Washington all healthy featured the latter receiver leading the way in target share (27%) and PPR points (19.1). And MAN, Washington looked good doing it. The latest early-career return specialist turned baller receiver (shoutout Miles Austin, Rashid Shaheed, etc.), Washington is a dynamic playmaker playing wide receiver in a running back's body. While he wasn't a full-time player until Travis Hunter was lost for the season, it sure sounds like the Jaguars intend to feature him more regularly from Day 1 this time around.

Jakobi Meyers (WR46 ADP): The ex-Patriot/Raider veteran signed a three-year, $60 million extension with the Jaguars last December to presumably continue to be the adult in this talented room. And why not? Meyers' crafty route-running has helped him rack up 5,427 receiving yards in seven career seasons—good for the 10th most of any undrafted player during the 21st century. While Meyers faded a bit after a hot start with Duval, Fantasy Life Projections have him practically neck-and-neck with Washington and BTJ for the team lead in targets (107 vs. 100 vs. 98).

Travis Hunter (WR57 ADP): It would make sense if the team's depth at receiver, and lack thereof at corner, leads to more snaps on defense compared to offense for Hunter this season, although that's not a guarantee. After all, Coen said, "The plan has not changed at all" when discussing Hunter's position in the 2026 season. Hunter's relatively slow start out of the gate wasn't ideal for fantasy managers looking for an early boom, but he did flash some serious upside with an 8-101-1 performance the last time we saw him (with most of the production coming in the second half of a blowout, to be fair). Still: My eyes tell me this is a special talent in terms of his ability to make contested catches and pick up yards after the catch. This is EXACTLY the sort of talent fantasy managers should be looking to target at receiver in the later rounds of drafts.

Ultimately, in crowded situations like these I've typically leaned toward just taking the cheapest involved talent—and that is Hunter ahead of 2026. Not to suggest BTJ, Washington and Meyers are bad picks at cost, but fairly even target distribution feels likely, and I've usually been more willing to click the high-end QBs/last crop of potentially useful running backs at that stage in drafts.
