Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Targets: Jalen McMillan Is A Sneaky Buy

Sam Wallace breaks down four wide receivers that dynasty fantasy football managers should be looking to acquire in the 2026 offseason before the hype becomes too loud.

There's never a bad time to improve your dynasty fantasy football roster. Values fluctuate throughout the year, and different landmark events (free agency, draft, etc.) impact how managers view specific players and situations. With the NFL Draft right around the corner, here are four dynasty fantasy football trade targets you should look into.

Trade Targets For Dynasty Fantasy Football Leagues

As a rookie, Jalen McMillan finished the 2024 season on an absolute tear. He scored seven of his eight TDs over the final five weeks, averaging 19.8 points per game during that stretch. The one caveat to that stretch run is that it happened after Chris Godwin was lost for the season.

While many hoped and expected McMillan to take the next step in 2025, a neck injury cost him the first 13 games of his sophomore campaign. He did post a nice 7/114 (9 targets) line in Week 17, but otherwise, 2025 was a lost season for him.

Now, he's heading into Year 3, and dynasty managers have been presented with another opportunity to acquire him. The WR room looks a bit different from McMillan's rookie season, as Mike Evans is now gone, Emeka Egbuka is the undisputed WR1, and Godwin is now 30 years old. Still only 24 years old, McMillan is the ideal dynasty trade target as he'll certainly outlast Godwin and has already shown rapport with Baker Mayfield.

Even for this season, McMillan offers intrigue. Our own Kendall Valenzuela tabbed him as one of our WR sleepers for 2026. In addition, our fantasy football projections for this upcoming season are now live, and here's what it looks like for McMillan:

  • 70 targets
  • 43 receptions
  • 552 receiving yards
  • 4.4 TDs
  • 127.8 PPR

Dynasty managers may have to be patient for a season yet, but McMillan is a prime example of a dynasty trade target.

Never wrong, just early. That's how I'm feeling about Parker Washington now that he's starting to trend towards sleeper status as we head deeper into the offseason. I've been in on Mr. Washington for a bit now, but it just hasn't panned out. Even so, the stars (and news reports) are aligning that suggest he's another prime dynasty trade target.

The Jaguars drafted Brian Thomas to be their undisputed No. 1 option. After an elite rookie season in 2024, the wheels came off in a big way for Thomas last season. It even got to the point where there were more than a few legitimate trade rumors floating around. The team also went out and signed veteran Jakobi Meyers to steady the wideout position. It also sounds like Travis Hunter is going to focus more on defense and only spot-start on offense.

That leaves us with Washington. Similar to the aforementioned McMillan, he could very well be the WR3 on his own team. Given the broader context of his situation, that's what makes him a strong dynasty trade target.

Wait … did I suggest that Parker would be behind both Thomas and Meyers in the pecking order? Think again. Here are our fantasy projections for those three in PPR scoring formats:

Washington:

  • 113 targets
  • 77 receptions
  • 935 receiving yards
  • 4.9 TDs
  • 204.3 PPR

Meyers:

  • 103 targets
  • 71 receptions
  • 784 receiving yards
  • 4.6 TDs
  • 180.3 PPR

Thomas:

  • 92 targets
  • 53 receptions
  • 774 receiving yards
  • 5.1 TDs
  • 165.1 PPR

So … Parker is projected to be the new No. 1 for Trevor Lawrence? I like it a lot. That makes him someone I am even more interested in trading for this offseason.

The biggest question for the Colts this season will likely be at the QB position, although it'll be Daniel Jones assuming he's healthy. Beyond that, though, whoever is under center come Week 1 will be missing the longtime No. 1 option in Michael Pittman after the veteran signed a new deal with the Steelers.

While the Colts inexplicably gave Alec Pierce a ton of money (good for Pierce, I suppose), another quiet winner for this offseason excitement is Josh Downs.

Downs has quietly been a solid asset for both the Colts and fantasy managers during his three seasons in the league. He's averaging nearly 100 targets per season since 2023 and has been a steady presence for this offence. With Pittman gone, there's an opportunity for a high-volume wideout to step in. That's never been Pierce's game, which means it'll be Downs and/or Tyler Warren.

Our 2026 fantasy football projections have Warren, Pierce and Downs essentially splitting targets. That leaves receptions, yards and TDs as the biggest differentiators for these playmakers.

Downs is by far the cheapest of the three, and he's still only 24 years old, which makes him the ideal trade target in dynasty fantasy football formats. Whether Jones is the long-term answer at QB or not, Downs should be a key part of this offense for many seasons to come.

The Panthers are one of those offenses that could really produce for fantasy football if everything clicks. While much of that depends on Bryce Young and his continued development, the pieces are there to make for an exciting season.

Behind Tetairoa McMillan, there's an opportunity for someone to step into the No. 2 role, and it's looking like that'll be Jalen Coker. He's appeared in just 11 games in each of his first two seasons, but when healthy, he's been a solid contributor.

Our 2026 fantasy projections have Coker at:

  • 89 targets
  • 63 receptions
  • 788 receiving yards
  • 4.3 TDs
  • 167.6 PPR

That's a very solid floor for someone like Coker to grow into, as he's just 24 years old. As has been the case throughout this piece, I'm targeting young players on good offenses who can continue to grow into their roles throughout their careers. Best of luck this offseason, and let me know how I can better help your dynasty football teams!
