Dynasty Fantasy Football Rankings: Carnell Tate, Ty Simpson and More Rookies Enter The Rankings
Sam Wallace breaks down where the 2026 rookie class slots into his dynasty fantasy football rankings for 2026.
Once again, the NFL Draft did not disappoint. From Jeremiyah Love and Ty Simpson to Makai Lemon and Jadarian Price, here's a look at some of the biggest movers in my latest dynasty fantasy football rankings update.
Post-NFL Draft Dynasty Fantasy Football Rankings Update
Jeremiyah Love | RB | ARI
Let's get something out of the way; I firmly disagree with this pick from a pure football perspective. On a team with significant needs on both sides of the ball (and at more important positions), this was a luxury pick the Cardinals absolutely did not need to make.
However, this is fantasy football … Love is going to smash for fantasy managers this season.
Now firmly entrenched as the 1.01 in 1QB (and likely SF) formats, Love now slots in as my RB3 in dynasty formats.
Carnell Tate | WR | TEN
I hadn't pegged the Titans to be a landing spot for one of these top wideouts, but I certainly don't mind it. Tennessee is doing a nice job of surrounding Cam Ward with weapons as they signed Wan'Dale Robinson and drafted Carnell Tate to play alongside Calvin Ridley. There are certainly worse receiver rooms out there (looking at you, Miami).
Tate was already my No. 1 wideout in this class and, with his draft capital accounted for, he's now tied for No. 3 overall in our Rookie WR Model dating back to 2017. On paper, it's hard to get much better than that, and I have no issue keeping Tate as the first wideout in rookie drafts. He should start Week 1 and eventually become the go-to option in this offense.
Tate is my dynasty WR18.
Jordyn Tyson | WR | NO
Heading into the NFL Draft, Jordyn Tyson was a walking medical red flag. However, the Saints must feel pretty good about him after they spent the eighth overall pick on him. Tyson lands in an offense where he'll operate alongside an established WR1 in Chris Olave. Even so, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about Tyson even in Year 1.
Our fantasy football projections have both Olave and Tyson topping 220 PPR, with no other Saints wideout on the roster cresting 70 points. This is going to be an offense that funnels through its top two guys. Don't overthink drafting Tyson. He's my dynasty WR20.
Ty Simpson | QB | LAR
Along with the aforementioned Love pick, the Rams spending their first round pick on a QB, especially one with as many question marks as Ty Simpson, definitely left many feeling a bit confused.
Just ask Sean McVay.
From a team-building perspective, this pick just doesn't make sense. Sure, the Rams need to give some serious consideration to life after Matthew Stafford, but not with this pick. If they wanted Simpson so bad, they could have either traded back or just spent a later pick and still landed him.
From a dynasty perspective, it's at least mildly intriguing. Stafford certainly isn't getting any younger, and McVay is one of the best offensive minds in the league. For this reason, Simpson slots in as my QB32 in dynasty formats.
Kenyon Sadiq | TE | NYJ
For being the clear-cut TE1, Kenyon Sadiq's landing spot is … fine? The Jets don't have their franchise QB currently on the roster (sorry, Geno Smith), but I suppose it's good they are building out their offense before presumably going after one next year.
Sadiq remains a solid dynasty asset. His ceiling might be capped in Year 1 (and 2) in a now semi-crowded offense that also includes fellow TE Mason Taylor.
Even with that context, Sadiq remains my dynasty TE9.
Makai Lemon | WR | PHI
Barring something unexpected, I think it's safe to assume that A.J. Brown will no longer be a Philadelphia Eagle post-June 1. That has been the perception for a few weeks now, especially given the financial implications. That opens the door for rookie Makai Lemon to make a sizable impact not only in dynasty leagues but also in Year 1.
While our fantasy projections still account for Brown, I would presume DeVonta Smith and Lemon will wind up in a 1A/1B type situation come this fall. Lemon is my dynasty WR21.
KC Concepcion | WR | CLE
The Browns need help in the pass-catching department, so I don't mind this pick at all, but much like the Jets situation, I am concerned about the quality of whoever winds up being the QB come Week 1. It's either going to be Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders (or Dillon Gabriel). Then, Concepcion will have to compete for targets with Jerry Jeudy, Harold Fannin and fellow rookie wideout Denzel Boston.
There is going to be some level of dynasty value somewhere between Concepcion and Boston, but for now, Concepcion is my dynasty WR42.
Omar Cooper, WR - Jets
The Jets certainly loaded up on Thursday night. Omar Cooper was a fast-riser throughout the pre-draft process and parlayed that, along with his National Championship season, into a first-round landing spot in New York.
Suddenly, the Jets have legit playmakers across their offense. For some additional Year 1 content, here's how we have those top-playmakers finishing in PPR formats:

Cooper is now my WR40 in dynasty leagues.
Jadarian Price | RB | SEA
The consensus RB2 pre-draft has solidified himself as the rookie RB2 in every dynasty format heading into the 2026 season. The reigning Super Bowl champions snagged Jadarian Price with the final pick of Day 1, and he steps into an offense where he'll have a legit shot to immediately lead the backfield.
With Kenneth Walker in Kansas City and Zach Charbonnet recovering from knee surgery, the only real competition for Price comes in the form of newcomer Emanuel Wilson and some guy named George Holani.
Here's how we have Price projected for this season:
- 180 rushing attempts
- 778 rushing yards
- 5.8 rushing TDs
- 129 total PPR
Those are solid numbers for a guy who could take on an even larger role moving forward. Price is currently my RB22 in dynasty fantasy football leagues.
