NFL DFS Value Plays For Week 7: Woody Marks & More

Jason Cohen breaks down his favorite NFL DFS Value Plays for Week 7 of the NFL season.

We are on to Week 7 of the NFL season. We get 10 games to break down for the Sunday DFS main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel. I'm going to be breaking down the top value NFL DFS plays on the slates.

These are players that are not only in great spots, but will allow you to build out the rest of your lineup with spend-ups. Almost every week, with injuries or some mispricing, there are cheap value plays that project very well and are even cash game staples for that week. We’ve got some very enticing value pieces for us this week; let's get into it!

DraftKings and FanDuel NFL DFS Week 7 Value Plays

Woody Marks - HOU RB ($5,600 DraftKings, $6,200 FanDuel)

Starting off this week's value plays is Woody Marks. With David Montgomery still sidelined with a groin injury, Marks has taken over as the lead back in Houston. He played 78% of the snaps in Week 6 after playing 85% in Week 5, and has had at least 17 touches in each of the last two games. Last week he rushed 15 times for 56 yards and added 2 catches on 3 targets for 25 yards. He hasn't found the end zone in either game, so there is hopefully some positive touchdown regression coming his way. A great cash play option

Ted Hurst - TB WR ($3,000 DraftKings, $4,900 FanDuel)

Next, we get a value wide receiver on Tampa Bay. Emeka Egbuka has been held out of practice this week. And with Jalen McMillan going to injured reserve with a sprained PCL, Ted Hurst should remain in the starting lineup, and his role keeps growing. He played 50% of the snaps in Week 6. Hurst caught 3 of 6 targets for 40 yards, matching his season highs in both catches and yards. The rookie now has 11 catches on 22 targets for 168 yards through six games. He should get a nice boost if Baker Mayfield is able to return this week, as Mayfield gave him 7 targets back in Week 2. He is cheap enough here to open up a ton of salary elsewhere.

Bo Nix - DEN QB ($5,000 DraftKings, $7,200 FanDuel)

Bo Nix has not been good so far this season, but I like him as a bounceback option at a discount. He is coming off a 17/27 performance for 107 yards in a win over the Seahawks. Sean Payton has taken the play-calling duties back over from Davis Webb to try and get the offense going. He gets a great matchup against an Arizona defense that is allowing 9.1 yards per pass attempt, which is the worst in the league, and 236.8 passing yards per game. This positive passive matchup, as well as his rushing upside, makes him look like a great play at this price.

Cade Otton - TB TE ($3,100 DraftKings, $4,900 FanDuel)

Cade Otton is the tight end value that I am looking at. He played every single offensive snap in Week 6, with Payne Durham at just 32% in 2-TE sets. Last week's box score was ugly with 1 catch on 2 targets for 4 yards, but I'm willing to look past it with how much he is on the field. Tampa Bay has been dealing with injuries at receiver and quarterback, and Otton is the one constant in the offense. Similar to Hurst, if Baker is back this week, I expect Otton's target share to jump from what we saw with Jalon Daniels. He will be highly owned as he is popping into most optimal lineups right now along with George Kittle.

Braelon Allen - NYJ RB ($5,900 DraftKings, $6,300 FanDuel)

To end off value plays, we have a running back in Braelon Allen. With Breece Hall out for three straight games, Allen has taken over as the Jets' lead back and has been great. He had 116 yards and a touchdown on 24 rushes in Week 5, followed by 17 carries for 78 yards and 2 catches for 26 yards in Week 6. Hall was upgraded to a limited practice on Thursday, so his status is something to watch, and Aaron Glenn did say Hall will be the starter when he returns. Projecting for Hall out, however, Allen looks like great value at RB.
