FanDuel MVP Picks For GB vs. ATL Single-Game Slate

Bijan Robinson (RB, ATL) - $19,500: The clear top option at the MVP spot, Robinson will force you into a bit of a stars-and-scrubs build on FanDuel given their aggressive pricing on this slate. Even so, he's averaged over 22 fantasy points per game with Penix as the starter and has one of the best roles in football. He posted a 99 Utilization Score followed by a 93 in Week 2 in a floor game, but when your floor is still 16 carries for 72 yards with 3 catches (4 targets), that's a rock-solid play. With a QB upgrade against a leaky defense, Robinson has the highest floor/ceiling combination on the slate, it's just a matter of whether you want to pay all the way up or not.

Jordan Love (QB, GB) - $18,600: In a vacuum, Love is the much better QB on this slate. He gets an elite matchup against a secondary that just lost its best piece in A.J. Terrell, has an elite group of pass catchers, and is a 6.5-point home favorite. The Packers defense has struggled to contain any offense since the loss of Micah Parsons last season, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that we see a competitive shootout here, either. Getting incremental savings with Love allows you to upgrade someone like Matthew Golden to Christian Watson, but I also love the idea of double-stacking Love with one of the WRs and TE Tucker Kraft in lineups where Love is your MVP.

Michael Penix (QB, ATL) - $15,300: If looking to save a significant amount at MVP, Penix is my clear choice. There's definitely ambiguity here as we haven't seen Penix since his latest ACL tear and he wasn't great prior, but getting a starting QB with elite weapons to pass to at this significant of a discount carries value on a slate lacking a ton of good pay-down options. Penix also makes sense as your MVP if you want to get different and spend up for Drake London in your FLEX spot, given London's track record of production with Penix (over 21 PPG) and his inflated salary. A road game in Lambeau is a sub-optimal spot for your season debut, but the Packers defense has gotten beat nearly every game since losing Parsons; who's to say it won't continue tonight?

FLEX Picks For GB vs. ATL Single-Game Slate On FanDuel

Matthew Golden (WR, GB) - $8,200: Christian Watson remains the highest-upside receiver on the Packers, but the discount on Matthew Golden fits far better in builds with such expensive MVP options on this slate. Golden has tied Watson for the team lead in target share (27%) while leading the wideouts in routes (88%) with a 12.5-yard aDOT. He has more upside than anyone in his price range and carries a strong floor, not having dropped below six targets in a game yet, with at least 58 yards in each.

Trey Smack (K, GB) - $6,800: I will always advocate for kickers in single-game formats, and as a 6.5-point home favorite that has already shown 50+-yard-field-goal upside, Smack is easily the one to play in this game.

Jonnu Smith (TE, GB) - $2,400: With all of the injuries to the Packers offensive line, we could see a lot more multi-TE sets with Smith on the field. We know Smith is a capable pass catcher, and he already showed the juice he still has in the tank in Week 1, with three targets that turned into a pair of catches and 50 yards. At his price, all he needs is one, and he opens your lineup up so you can fit multiple studs.
