DraftKings SNF Showdown Picks Week 5: Bijan Robinson Is Unavoidable

Jason Cohen examines the DraftKings Sunday Night Football DFS Showdown for Week 5, identifying the best captain picks, flex picks and more for Falcons vs. Ravens.

We’re ending off our weekend with a SNF contest between the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens. The Falcons are home and are currently 3.5-point favorites in a 43-point total. It should be a close and exciting game

I'm going to be breaking down the DraftKings DFS showdown for this game. First, I'll highlight some players I want to target in the captain spot, who get a 1.5x fantasy-point boost. High-upside players are who I want to target here, and the lower the ownership, the better. I will then break down some flex position plays that I like to round out your lineups. Let's dive into it!

DraftKings Week 5 SNF DFS Showdown Captain Picks | Falcons vs. Ravens

Bijan Robinson | RB | ATL ($17,700)

This showdown's far and away most optimal play, Bijan Robinson, comes in as the not only the slate's highest raw projected player, but also the best point per dollar. This makes him feel nearly unfadable in lineup construction and just makes sense to play at the captain.

It’s projected to be a close one, but we can expect the Falcons to be in control here against a Lamar Jackson-less Ravens. Bijan is a top-two back in the league, depended on in both the rushing and receiving game. We have seen Brian Robinson be very involved, as well as get a good share of goal-line carries. So there is an angle to take where Bijan simply just doesn’t produce fantasy points with a lack of TDs. Nonetheless, Bijan’s groundwork will likely be enough to pay his price tag on this showdown.

Drake London | WR | ATL ($14,700)

With Michael Penix at QB, Drake London has returned to the form we previously saw last season. He has been super involved the last two weeks, combining for 288 yards on 14 receptions. It’s also important to note that he hasn’t found the end zone yet this season. The longer he goes without finding it, the more the Falcons may design plays to get him one.

I expect this game to be close enough that the Falcons will have to keep their feet on the pedal, which bodes well for London. He is the team’s top target and should be heavily involved, as we’ve seen recently. He looks great here and has massive ceiling potential. He's a good captain click to get a little bit of savings on a super popular Bijan captain.

Mark Andrews | TE | BAL ($9600)

To finish off my captain plays, a lower-owned option that I like is Mark Andrews. He has been very involved to start the year, averaging over four receptions a game. He also just found the end zone for the first time this season, last week against the Titans, which is great to see. Zay Flowers is questionable, and if he misses, Andrews is going to look like an even better play. I also like targeting tight ends when backup QBs are playing, as they generally get pressured more and have to get the ball out quicker. I like Andrews to get some more opportunities with Tyler Huntley at QB.

DraftKings SNF DFS Showdown Flex Picks | Falcons vs. Ravens

Michael Penix | QB | ATL ($9,400)

Michael Penix is coming into his third start of the season and has had an overall great start. He has led the Falcons to two runaway wins and hasn’t had to keep his foot on the pedal for a full game yet. He still had over 220 passing yards in each game, along with one passing TD in each.

He's still too cheap at $9,400 and has proven that he has what it takes to put up a big score in the passing game. I like to compare him to Dak Prescott a bit. I like this game to be in close enough reach that the passing game will need to be utilized a bit more than the past two contests, making Penix look like a good flex option.

Tyler Huntley | QB | BAL ($8800)

We are getting a very fair price here on Huntley, the Baltimore backup QB. At $8,800, he looks like a great click, and I love pairing him with a Ravens receiver. Huntley also provides a nice rushing floor, which will really help him pay off that price tag. I can see him getting a good chunk of captain ownership, but I prefer to get to a Ravens receiver and play Huntley in the flex. He is still viable in the captain, however, as he can get a lot done with his legs.

DFS Value Picks for Falcons vs. Ravens SNF Week 5

Assuming Zay Flowers is in, our value plays are relatively thin. As we’ve seen with the last few Falcons showdowns, Jahan Dotson $3600) projects as a good value. He is on the field a ton, and while his targets haven’t been great, he provides one of the better floors down in the value plays.

Both kickers are also projecting well and are in a ton of optimals. Both of them, Tyler Loop ($5000) for the Ravens and Nick Folk ($5400) for the Falcons, look great. The Zay Flowers news is key, though. If we do see him miss, a lot of value will open up. Rashaad Bateman and Mark Andrews would get a massive boost in the midrange, and Devontez Walker ($3000) and Chris Moore ($2800) would turn into very viable value picks at the flex.
