Tennessee Titans vs. Philadelphia Eagles Picks, Odds, Predictions, and Player Props for Week 2
Matt LaMarca breaks down the Tennessee Titans versus Philadelphia Eagles Week 2 matchup from a betting perspective with predictions, picks and prop bets.
The Titans and Eagles both got off to slow starts this season. Tennessee could do absolutely nothing offensively or defensively vs. the Jets, barring a garbage-time touchdown to Elic Ayomanor. The Eagles managed to escape with a win against the Commanders, but their offense did little to inspire confidence after a rough 2025 campaign.
Can either of these teams get on track in Week 2? Let’s dive into all the betting numbers for this matchup.
Tennessee Titans vs. Philadelphia Eagles Betting Odds For Week 2
- Spread: Eagles -7.0 (-109, Caesars)
- Moneyline: Eagles -310; Titans +280
- Game Total: 39.5
On paper, it wasn’t a disastrous showing for the Eagles on Sunday. Jalen Hurts was 14-of-25 as a passer, racking up three touchdowns and 203 yards. He added 46 rushing yards, while Saquon Barkley had 15 carries for 85 yards of his own.
That said, it still felt very much like a slog. The team managed just 318 yards of total offense, and 64 of them came on one pass to Dontayvion Wicks. Outside of that outburst, they struggled to put together any sort of big plays. They finished 17th in Week 1 in EPA per play, despite facing a Commanders’ defense that was expected to struggle this season.
The good news is that the Titans represent a fantastic get-right spot. Their defense was carved up by Geno Smith and the Jets in Week 1. Maybe the Jets aren’t as bad as initially anticipated—Smith looked much better than he did at any point with the Raiders—but it’s also possible that the Titans defense is going to hemorrhage yards and points.
On the other side, it’s hard to feel any semblance of confidence with the Titans offense. Cam Ward showed no real progression in his first game of Year 2, racking up just 140 passing yards on 32 attempts. The team added just 68 yards on the ground, finishing with less than 200 yards of total offense for the week.
If that’s what they look like vs. the Jets, things could be even uglier vs. the Eagles’ defense. They weren’t great vs. the Commanders, but they were fifth in EPA per play in 2025.
Prediction & Pick For Titans vs. Eagles Week 2 Matchup
- The Pick: Titans +7.0 (-105; BetMGM)
This might be a crazy pick. It’s possible that the Titans are every bit as bad as they looked in Week 1 vs. the Jets. That said, I also think it’s possible that the Jets might actually be a competent team this year.
Ultimately, I have a hard time believing the Eagles should be 7-point road favorites against anyone at the moment. They simply don’t have the offense that is going to rack up points against an inferior opponent, and that’s what you need to cover as a big favorite. That’s not exactly a new development, either: Hurts is just 8-13-2 ATS for his career when favored by at least a touchdown, including 4-9-1 ATS over the past three seasons.
The Titans also fit a classic “overreaction” trend for Week 2. No one wants anything to do with them after their Week 1 showing. They’re getting just 12% of the bets in this matchup, making them one of the least-bet sides at the moment.
Those teams tend to be some of the strongest options in Week 2. The season is still brand new, and the public is generally overconfident about what it thinks it knows. Teams getting less than 30% of the spread bets in Week 2 or 3 have posted a 113-84-3 ATS mark dating back to 2005. When those teams are coming off a loss, they’re 86-60-1.
Sometimes, the best value comes from a little dumpster diving. I’m plugging my nose and riding with the Titans in Week 2.
Best Player Prop Bet For Titans vs. Eagles
Tyjae Spears Over 17.5 Rushing Yards (-114; FanDuel)
The Titans said this offseason that Spears would be a bigger part of the offense in 2026, and that looked to be the case in Week 1. He had the same number of snaps as Tony Pollard, and he actually finished with a better Utilization Score. That stemmed primarily from his usage as a pass-catcher, but Spears still had 30% of the team’s rushing attempts in Week 1.
The bigger issue was that the Titans were dealing with a deficit straight from the jump vs. the Jets. Their two running backs accounted for just 10 total carries, which is much less than I’d expect this week vs. the Eagles. We have Spears projected for 5.8 carries and 20.9 yards in this matchup, so I like the value with the over on 17.5.
