College Football Parlays for Week 6: Bet on Minnesota to Keep Rolling
Kody Malstrom shares his favorite college football parlay picks for Week 6, including betting on Minnesota to stack another win against Purdue.
It has been a turbulent past few weeks for Minnesota, losing to Mississippi State in embarrassing fashion before rattling off a string of wins over Akron, Washington, and Michigan. With Purdue on deck, the Gophers headline our parlay cards, giving us a great piece to pair with Memphis to kick off a jam-packed slate.

Reminder, in order to win your parlay, every leg must cash or else the bet as a whole will be graded as a loss.
Memphis -13.5/Minnesota -2.5 (+257, Fanatics)
Since the start of the regular season, Purdue has been unable to get into a groove on defense, entering Week 6 ranked near dead last in success rate, explosiveness, finishing drives, and havoc. With neither level of the defense capable of creating disruptions, opposing offenses have had no issue with marching down the field, turning trips to the red zone into points on the board.
The Boilermakers lack of production on defense bodes well for a Minnesota offense that has quietly excelled in the middle of the field, yet sputtered inside the 20, ranking 54th in success rate and 115th in points per opportunity. With positive regression looming large over the Gophers' red zone offense, expect points to be scored at a more consistent rate, setting a scoring pace too fast for Purdue to keep up with.
Speaking of underwhelming defenses, UAB has been abysmal, limping into Saturday ranked outside the top 100 in success rate and in finishing drives. With Memphis residing near the top of the board in havoc allowed, the Tigers will be able to avoid stalling out while methodically moving the ball down the field, leading to an uptick in the total number of scoring opportunities.
Illinois Alt Team Total o27.5/Duke ML (+233, DraftKings)
After a hot start to the year, Michigan State has fallen hard back down to reality, losing the last three games by a combined score of 89-26. The Spartans' regression on defense has made it nearly impossible to be competitive, ranking well below league average in EPA allowed per play and in explosiveness.
Unfortunately for Michigan State, the Spartans' struggles on defense are poised to persist in a Big Ten tilt against Illinois, an offense that ranks 19th in success rate. With Katin Houser getting extra time in the pocket to go through his progression, the amount of havoc in his throws will decline, lowering his chances of creating a turnover-worthy play.
Unlike the Spartans, Duke has been far more productive on defense, heading into Saturday ranked in the top 30 in success rate, explosiveness, and finishing drives. With Georgia Tech struggling to stay ahead of the sticks, the Yellow Jackets will be held to early outs, which will feed into Duke’s total number of possessions, improving the Blue Devils' probability of winning.
UCLA ML/Syracuse ML (+1710, BetRivers)
Even though Dylan Raiola looked great in his brief appearance against USC, the quality of the opposing defense was underwhelming. In a conference matchup against UCLA, expect Raiola to struggle to move the ball while trying to throw over the top of a secondary that ranks 17th in pass success rate and 16th in PPA.
To pair with UCLA, back Syracuse with the Orange catching Virginia in a look-ahead spot to SMU, potentially leading to a conservative game script, which will make it difficult for the Cavaliers to pull away on the scoreboard. Syracuse also possesses a talented defense that is more than capable of giving Virginia fits, ranking in the top half of the board in EPA allowed per play and in havoc.
